1.  New Field Trip Information:  How do I prepare for the field trips?

There will be 4 professional field trips available for meeting participants.  All field trips will occur on Thursday, July 17, 2008 and the cost will be $50.  Please study the various available field trip options BEFORE registering for the conference. Details for each trip are below.  We've put together field trips that appeal to a wide range of interests!

When will we leave?  Field trip buses load at 7:15 am in front of the hotel.

When will we return?  We plan for the buses to return by 5:00 pm, but delays are possible, so be prepared to return as late as 6:00 pm.

What should I wear?  All tours are outdoors, so be prepared for hot weather.  You will need to dress casually (shorts or casual slacks) and you should bring plenty of sunscreen.

What else should I know?  Water will be provided on the buses.  Field trip 2 will involve riding in an open-air trailer, so dress casually and be prepared for a bumpy ride.

Field Trip 1:  Fairchild Tropical ; Tropical Research and Education Center

Field Trip 2:  Production Nurseries; Ornamentals

Field Trip 3:  Production Farm; Irrigation; Packing House Operations; Nursery

Field Trip 4: Adams Ranch (Ft. Pierce, FL) (maximum of 20)
